So most or some of you know I'm a fan of this British-Irish band called--*looks at my left then to my right*One Direction. *fangirls squeal* Anyways, since I have mixed feelings to the fandom, I'm gonna do a review of their album, Take Me Home. So here goes!

Live While We're Young
:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty:
This song is a bit overrated. No matter how many times I'll listen to it, it'll still strike me as a song that says: "Hey, we're stupid dumb teens, but let's get laid 'cause it's swaggy!" So in short, it's just a whole song about YOLO. I'll give it two stars for the upbeat tempo and rather jumpy melody. And I'll give it a half for the music video of it. It was cute, but not enough for me to like like it. :/

Kiss You
:star::star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty:
What I hate more than fluffy kiss-up criticism? Degrading my sex. Don't get me wrong, their video of this one was actually cute, but the song itself was a bit... mind-numbing. I mean, showing off your girlfriend/lover to your friends? It's a bit egotistical. I gave the other star for the video again, since the boys are staying true to themselves in it.

Little Things
:star::star::star::star::star-half:
Now this one is a prize-winner. Different  from the boy band's usual songs, Little Things takes it to a soft melody. Their accents showing off a couple of times in it shows their origin, and the simplicity of the music video is just right. Though it  maybe a bit off of their ballgame, it still hits home run for me.

C'mon, C'mon
:star::star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty:
Okay, this is a bit over the top on lyrics. Telling a girl that you've been watching her all night isn't cute. It's creepy, and a bit stalker-ish. Trying to dance with her kinda signals that you're a bit desperate. Still, two stars for the signature 1D-esque beat.

Last First Kiss
:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty:
This is actually good. Not as good as Little Things, but still good. The lyrics were slightly off, but the thought of being their first and last is nice. The beat is wonderful. The acoustic start then have a jumpy chorus is awesome. A solid three stars for you guys.

Heart Attack
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty:
Ow! Now this song has a funny feel to it. The ouch thing may be a bit overdone, but it's still as cool as it can be. Personally, I've never seen guys that are still hurt over a break up. Guys just mostly play some first-person shooter game and they'll be fine. But still, girls still want the thought of it. Right, girls? Right. So I'll give them 3 and a half stars for this.

Rock Me
:star::star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty:
This song is a bit... green-minded. But either way, They lost two stars for that, and another for the try-hard metal. Two stars for effort, though.

Change My Mind
:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty:
Soft, balanced beat. For all of those guys between the dreaded friendzone and the not-so dreaded more-than-friends zone. Lyrics are nice, and the beat is just about right. Good job, dudes.

I Would
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty:
This is rather fascinating. Firstly, I've seen a lot of guys got friend-zoned. (Poor guys.) So a lot can relate to it. But in my opinion, I would rather date someone who says he loves me rather than someone with 27 tattoos. But I'd flick off a star, for its rather cliche melody.

Over Again
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty:
Well, this kinda hits close to home lol. *ahem* Anyways, it was rather lovely, the tune and melody. And the lyrics are rather bitter-sweet for my taste. (Or maybe it's experience talking?) Anyways, loved how their accents kinda dripped through this one.

Back For You
:star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty:
You know that one song that you'll gonna listen and say "Huh?" with a slightly confused face? Yep, this one takes it. "Back For You?" Really guys? It's like saying no to Grandma's dessert pie then yes to her turkey dinner. It was very confusing to listen, so a small star and a half is what this song gets.

They Don't Know About Us
:star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty:
Okay, this one... scares me, to be honest. I can only imagine those couples on Facebook sing to it. No comment. One star is all it will have. Moving on.

Summer Love
:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty:
Truth be told, this song was my first fave (Not including singles.) in this album. But after giving it much thought and heard it a few more times, two words popped out of my head like Fourth of July fireworks: "Summer flings." Still, good song is good. Not great, but good.

Overall Impact: :star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty:
While this has a few bad eggs, this album is rather interesting. Compared to their first album, they are maturing and evolving rather nicely. But in my opinion, they can spice it up a bit next time. But for now, congrats to them for making it this far. Keep it up.

~~~
There you go. My first review for an album. I might do it again someday. Who knows? And if you have any reactions and/or constructive criticism to consult to me (Man, that's a bit of a tongue-twister!), just leave it in the comments. I may or may not answer them, but I will read them. :aww: Thank you for reading this.
